Who can renew?
The authorised person working in the company holding the licence/registration can renew using SingPass/CorpPass.
When should I renew?
You should renew your licence/registration before it expires. SFA will send you a renewal reminder 2 months before the expiry date.

What are the conditions for renewal?
You must still be eligible to hold the licence/registration, and comply with the requirements and conditions. For details, see Requirements for Licence / Permit / Registration for Import / Export.
Individuals or sole proprietorships also need to clear any CPF Medisave arrears before they renew their licence. You will not be able to renew your licence if there are outstanding CPF Medisave payments that have not been settled.
How do I renew my licence/registration?
You can follow the steps below to renew your licence/registration.
Step 1: Receive notice of renewal
SFA will send a renewal notice (via email or SMS) 2 months prior to the expiry of your licence/registration.
Step 2: Ensure you are eligible for renewal
You can refer to Requirements for Licence / Permit / Registration for Import / Export for more details.
If you are self-employed, ensure your Medisave contributions are up-to-date.
Step 3: Ensure you have your CorpPass ready
You will need your CorpPass to log into the GoBusiness portal to renew. If you do not have one, refer to the CorpPass Guide for setup instructions.
Step 4: Prepare your food recall plan
All importers, except importers of shell eggs, are required to submit a Food Recall Plan for the first renewal and once every 2 years for subsequent renewals.
All food and food appliances traders should have a food recall plan in place to ensure they are operationally ready for any food recall event. A food recall plan outlines the procedures that importers should follow during a food recall.
You can use the standard recall procedure as a template to develop your own food recall plan.
Step 5: Renew your licence/registration
Log into the GoBusiness portal to submit your renewal request. Ensure your contact details are up-to-date and attach your company's Food Recall Plan.
Step 6: Make payment
You can pay via GIRO, AXS, or GoBusiness. AXS and the GoBusiness portal accept various payment methods including NETS and credit cards.

Step 7: Receive notifications via the GoBusiness portal
SFA takes about 1 working day to process complete submissions. You will be notified via the GoBusiness portal.
Cancel
Cancel your licence/registration if you are no longer operating your import, export, or transhipment business.

Cancel your licence/registration when you have ceased your business operations.
Your licence will be automatically cancelled if you ignore the renewal notice. However, if you have arranged for GIRO payments for your renewals, it may continue to be deducted if you do not cancel your licence.
