Trade Circular on Resumption of Beef and Pork Imports from Hungary following the Reinstatement of the status Free from Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) without Vaccination

      We are pleased to inform you that Hungary has reinstated the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) status of “FMD-free country where vaccination is not practised” for the entire country (with effect from 10 September 2025).

2   In view of the above, the export of beef and pork from Hungary may resume with immediate effect.   

3   Please contact SFA should you have any enquiries on the import of beef and pork and its products from Hungary.
