Reporting of Marine Casualties and Marine Incidents to the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau of Singapore (TSIB) and SFA
This circular seeks to inform representatives of SFA-licensed vessels and foreign fishing vessels in Singapore waters of the need for reporting of marine casualties and marine incidents to the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB). This is following the gazette of the Transport Safety Investigations Act 2018 and the Transport Safety Investigations (Marine Occurrences) Regulations 2023 on 1 January 2024.
2 Examples of marine casualties and incidents that should be reported to TSIB within the stipulated reporting timeline include any of the following in connection with vessel operations:
